Orange Shoals Otters

Cherokee County mandates all swimmers who are 7 or older have a dive certification to participate in the league.  Uncertified swimmers must start all races in water (no diving from blocks).

This only needs to be certified once in your swimmer's career as an Otter. 

We will host a Dive Certification instructor at our pool during a practice each summer.  As a pool with a deep end and therefore diving starts, this is an important safety precaution, as well as a good opportunity for swimmers to learn good diving techniques.

• If your Otter is new to the team or hasn't previously certified, they will need to participate to have this certification on file for the current swim season.
• If your Otter misses this practice and is not dive certified, please reach out to the committee or head coach to discuss alternate certification options.
