During the month of June, Beginning Wednesday May 31st, practices will be during the morning times below, Monday through Friday (Fridays are optional, Fun Fridays).

** We understand that this is a busy time of year with family vacations and summer camps. Remember there is no minimum number of practices your swimmer needs to attend, but of course the more they come, the better they’ll be. :)

**DON'T FORGET TO DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS PRIOR TO MEETS, EVEN IF THEY CANNOT ATTEND.

**Swimmers should bring their tennis or running shoes, for dryland warm-ups/stretching before in-water practice each day.

8:00 - 9:00 a.m. -  All 11/12 boys & girls, All 13/14 boys & girls, & All 15 & up.

9:00 - 10:00 a.m. - All 9/10 boys & girls, & 7/8 girls.

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. - All 6 and under boys & girls, & All 7/8 boys.

**These age groups may move around a bit by the time the season begins, once we have final number of swimmers, so there aren’t too many swimmers in the pool at once. The youngest two groups will have our in-water assistants to help them as well as our coaches. 

We have some great news for this summer season. Due to a rule change with GRPA and thanks to your submissions of Rosters we have been approved to host our own Cherokee County Qualifier Meet. This means that will we be able to qualify 3 swimmers in each individual event and 3 relays for each event!!! This is an exciting opportunity for our swimmers!!! Also, our Cherokee County Qualifier Meet and the GRPA Class A State meet will be hosted right here in our own Pool on Saturday, July 9 at 9:00 am!!!

Included in this email is a lot of information, and I will explain each piece. Please make the effort to get this to your swimmers ASAP as we have deadlines that will happen quicker than we would like. Because we will have a Cherokee County Qualifier no times will be submitted for that meet.

First Deadline: June 28th @5pm Meet form, Concussion form, Copy of Birth Certificate or Current passport, and payment (check or cash) are due to the Aquatic Center.

1. Cherokee Meet Form- this form is to be completed for each swimmer. You must select your events to swim. You will also note that they are no relays. We ask that your swimmer select the 25/50 yd swim that is appropriate by age. We will make relays based on best times from this meet.
2. Concussion form- This is to assure that as a parent you are aware of the potential for concussions and the risks. It just has to be signed by the parent, we do not require the child signature.
3. Parent meetings- We will have virtual parent meetings for informational purposes on the processes, practices, and more. The links to those meetings are included on this attachment.
4. Meet Timelines- This provides information on how we will manage practices before the county meet as well as the state meet and what the plans are leading up to the state meet.
